first began in 2005 as a monthly birthday program for children staying at the Salvation Army Center of Hope in Charlotte, North Carolina. The organization's founders, John and Amy Cervantes, wanted to help brighten the lives of needy children while also instilling a love and commitment for community service in their own young children. For nearly three years, the Cervantes family threw birthday celebrations every month for hundreds of homeless children at the Center, adding educational and enrichment activities to their program and also providing the kids with gifts, new books and basic care essentials.
Pier 33 Entertainment
an entertainment center in the heart of downtown Wilmington located on the pier at Port City Marina. The pier holds up to 4,000 people and events range from concerts to street fairs to weddings. Artists have included Willie Nelson, Aaron Lewis, Dwight Yoakam, and Uncle Kracker.

Model CityZen...
started with two professional female models who needed an escape from the fashion industry. They began working on small arts and crafts projects after hectic weeks of torturous clients and a demanding agency. The emotional pressure one is put under to be "perfect" and the psychological heaviness to be a human hanger can really tear a person apart. With crafting they found zen, hence the name cityZEN, and began selling their artwork locally. And that was the start of their beautiful mini business, Model CityZen.
